Physical Description When it comes to Emily's appearance, some say she's a beauty while others may think that she's just plain weird looking. She stands around 5'6, fairly average for her age. Her reddish brown hair is usually worn in loose curls, though it is straight at times, reaching down to her mid-back. She has pale skin and full lips. These things, and her high cheekbones, only add to her odd and slightly mysterious beauty. She weighs roughly 135 lbs, making her have just enough curves to not be a toothpick.
Dressing Style Emily likes to dress casually in anything that is comfortable. She's not very big into the fashion now days, unlike her mother. Jeans and a simple polo shirt are usually what she wears when out of school. During school, she sticks to the robes that are a must. She never ever wears any jewelry because she hates it. She also doesn't care that much for shoes, considering that she'd be happy with a plain pair of sneakers to have for the rest of her life.

Personality Description Emily is a fairly complex young woman. Most of the time, you will find that she is extremely happy, almost too happy. She's nearly always smiling and likes to meet new people. Making friends is one of the things that she is really, really good at. Though some see her constant happiness as a mask, hiding the truth.
Inside, she isn't all happy and peppy like she appears to be. She is easilly angered and usually keeps it bottled up inside, fearing that people won't like the anger that comes out. She also fears that she will lose her friends, which are so very important to her. It doesn't take much to get Emily to do something. She's not a very strong girl, inside and out.
ADMIN EDIT
History Emily was born in the tiny town of Edzell, Scotland to Caelia and Thomas Hawkins. Her parents, being both in Slytherin when they were young, raised Emily telling her that Slytherin was the only house worth being in and the others were much, much lower. Though as Emily grew older, she didn't find that she wanted to be like them. They were hateful and deceitful, always doing whatever it took to get what they wanted. Emily didn't like that at all. In her mind, hard work for things you wanted was the only way that you should get things. Emily told her parents this one day, making them slightly angered at their daughter. So far, all that they had taught her went in one ear and out the other.
At the age of 11, Emily was whisked off to Hogwarts, where upon arriving, she was sorted into Hufflepuff. She was happy with the sorting, though when she wrote to her parents telling them of her house, they responded with a few harsh words, among them were the words "useless and discrace to the family." Thought many would have been upset by hearing this, Emily was not. She didn't care what they thought of her anymore. Now that she was at Hogwarts, she was weaving a new future for herself, one that hopefully wouldn't involve the things that her parents taught her.
Last year, Emily was given the choice to join Dumbledores Army. After a few days of pondering the idea, she decided NOT to join. It wasn't that she had anything against the members...It was just that she didn't like conflict. She didn't want those in the Slytherin house to have another reason to not like her.

RolePlay Sample One good thing about being a Hufflepuff...Always close to the Kitchen. Emily yawned loudly as she exited the Common Room, her eyes scanning her surroundings for anyone else. Luckily, nobody was in the corridor at the time. That was just the way Emily liked it. She twirled a random strand of reddish brown hair as she walked down the corridor, careful not to make too much noise. Despite the fact that she usually didn't break any rules, she was hungry. Hungry for one thing and one thing only. Orange Jello! A smile played across her face as she reached the entrance of the Kitchen, taking a moment to tickle the pear very gently. After a few seconds of tickling, the painting opened up. "Wonderful." Emi muttered with a smile as she pushed open the door to the Kitchen.
She was amazed at just how many house elves were running around the Kitchen. Sure she knew there were hundreds of them at Hogwarts but she never expected around 200 to be running around the Kitchen this late at night. Just as she took a few steps into the large and magnificent Kitchen, a short house elf with dog like ears and a very crooked nose came waltzing up to Emily with a smile. "Whadja like dearie?" Emi returned the smile as she began to speak. "Well, I'd love to have some orange jello. Think you could whip me up some?" The elf nodded quickly before scurrying off around one of the tables.
Emily, with a smile still on her face, took a seat near the door, crossing her legs as she waited. Within a few seconds, the elf came back holding a medium sized bowl of jiggling orange jello. Emi's face lit up as she spotted the jello. "Thank you sooo much. I've been craving it all day." With that said, Emily took the jello from the elf and took a bite, using the spoon the elf provided. Mmmmmmm....She closed her eyes for a moment as she savored the taste. When she opened her eyes again, the house elf had disappeared. Shrugging her shoulders, she went back to eating her jello.
