“You bribed the professors obviously…at least that’s the bet a few of us have going on. A few students have ridiculous things for theories but I have shoved those to the back burner on my list as I really don’t even think YOU would stoop that low.” Rose said faking a shudder at the thoughts that thankfully were not actually passing through her mind; she had learned to bloke THOSE thoughts out a LONG time ago. “And why would I congratulate you when I got more O.W.L.s then you? Twelve thank you very much, but then again it does run in my family.” Rose said looking up innocently and pretending to fan herself with her hand.
“As for the firewhiskey, no thanks. According to everyone I have talked to the stuff is vile and tastes worst then it smells. As for having fun, I have enough of it for my standards even if they aren’t up to yours.” Rose stated with a smile as she leaned back on her elbows. “Now, what did you two do this summer for the brief periods of time we weren’t all together or at least in constant communication with each other?”

James smirked at his cousins then at the mention of firewhisky he smiled. "Well I must agree with you there Rose - don't get used to it though. Firewhiskey is vile: though I have had it about 5 times on dares and the like." He opened his mouth in mock amazment and then put a hand over his heart. "Me? Bribe? What would make you think such a thing? And yes we know Miss Ravenclaw of your almighty intellect." He said rolling his eyes. "And I think you should congradulate me considering this is me we are talking about. I mean, Os don't fall as easily in my lap then they do to yours." He said, now crossing his arms childishly.
He scoffed. "What time havent we all spent together? I mean, even if I want to be alone, its almost impossible isn't it? I mean with all of the Weasleys - Granger - Delacour - Potters running around, and now a new addition: Lupins, dear lord, will our family stop marrying and producing kids? I mean soon there will be so many of us that we wont know the differance between a cousin 2 times removed and a future spouse!" He said jokingly. Though part of what he said was true. And eh was sure he wasn't the only one who felt that their family was too big at times. Judging from the looks of his cousins faces, it seemed like it was so anyway.

[[ ooc; sorry for the wait, guys! i've been sick this weekend, not feeling to well ]]
Dominique laughed a bit at James' remarks; what he was saying was more than true. Their family was quite large, really, and even though it sometimes seemed as if it was a bad thing that one couldn't get to know EVERYBODY in the family, it was still a fun thing. She always loved catching up with any of her family members, as they were all so entertaining. "Not going to lie," Dominique started, "all of the parents in our family created quite interesting characters, no?" Not that she was trying to point out James or anything, but he was definitely one of the more interesting ones.
"As for my holiday, I spent it with friends, mostly," Dominique exclaimed, chuckling lightly, "Besides you guys, of course. Between our family get-togethers, I took the chance to do a bit of traveling. Père and Mère allowed me to go with one of my friends to Italy; I'm sure I told you that over the summer." Smiling, Dominique looked over to Rose, "It was something I thought you would enjoy doing, Rose, as you've always come across as someone who'd like to know the world." Pausing for a moment, she added, "To me, anyways." She didn't want to make assumptions about her cousins; indeed, it was common knowledge that each member of this extended family possessed at least some kind of secret. It was inevitable, see, because their family was known for being involved in mystery and all, considering the whole He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named business in their parents' lives.
This wasn't a bad thing, no, and it was no secret that nearly everybody in the family had at least something to hide.

“Of course they don’t fall in your lap like they do mine. I study and I read and I learn…and you party and somehow pull the grades out of thin air.” Rose said with a shrug. She wasn’t exactly bitter on the fact that James somehow got good grades without much studying while she had to work herself to the bone…she was bitter about the fact that he WASTED it! He spent his time flirting and partying when he could be SO much more.
“EW! EW! EW!!! That is SOOO gross! I don’t even want to think about! See! This is WHY I keep a list of EVERYONE in the family and their offspring and everything…that whole incest thing is just WRONG! Especially in our family!” Rose said with a shudder. “As for the apart thing, yes thank you, we did spend some time apart. Ma and Da took us to go visit Uncle Charlie and I was able to go to Diagon Alley a few times and pick up some books and other things.” Rose said with a nonchalant shrug. It was true, though most of the time the family spent apart she spent at her house reading, or flying depending.
“You are right Dominique. Our parents do create very interesting characters.” She said looking at both her cousins and thinking about herself in that mix. None of them were normal, nor did they lead normal and boring lives. Interesting and secret filled in their ways. “And you’re also right about wanting to travel. I might later in life, but right now, I’m pretty set staying here. And after Hogwarts I want to be a healer…but after that I might be able to get some traveling done.” She said with a hopeful smile.

James started chuckling as he watched Rose's reaction. He pointed at her mockingly and then uttered "Don't worry Rosie, I wasn't serious: why do you always take everything so seriously : can't you take a joke?" Then after he chuckled again he said, still smirking "Don't worry Rosie, I'm sure nothing like that will ever happen." He ruffled her hair and then leaned back in his perch on the rock, still smiling at her. SHe was like a little sister to her, at times people would mistake them for direct siblings: not that they looked alike, but that they seemed so close to others. It was quite amusing in his opinion anyway.
He raised an eyebrow in amusement when the subject of 'interesting characters within the families' was brought up. He tilted her head to this side then after listening to what his cousins had to say said shortly "Well that much is true: our family history is quite interesting isn't it? I think we're the first generation in the Weasley family to not all be Purebloods. It's amusing isn't it how it lasted this long in a family of blood traitors isn't it?" He didn't say the last part in a bad way: actually he said it with a touch of pride: his mom was pureblooded but his dad a half blood. James didn't know what that made him, but it was fun to think about that he was a quarter pure blooded or something. Though it was confusing...
James nodded his head and started chuckling. Well, at least one of his cousins knew what they wanted to do. He smiled at then stated still biting on his lollipop, "That's cool, I could totally see you doing that Rose. Being a healer I mean." He looked at her for a while then changed his view to Dominique, his other cousin who was, like him, a Seventh Year and closer to graduation than Rose was. Little Rosie, she was the baby of this bunch, but she for some strange reason, acted more mature then him. He chuckled as he thought this.
"Me, I'm stuck either between an Auror or a Professor." He shrugged. The first choice had mainly been influenced by what and some of his uncles did: though he wouldn't fancy working under his own dad, but you couldn't have eerything. The option of becoming a Professor though: that was because he like being around people, and if he were to teach anything it would be Defense Against the Dark Arts. He shrugged again as another thought orrured to him. "Or maybe both I'm not sure." He smiled at his cousins then nodded his head towards Dominique who had not yet said anything in this exchange. He didn't know whether it was out of politeness, boredom of the subject, or speechlessness. Or all three perhaps?

Oh no, Dominique wasn't that bored at all. She enjoyed catching up with her family that she didn't see overly often, and it was fun to hear their intakes on subjects such as these. However, when it came to her, she sometimes felt that all of her family would end up successful, but she wouldn't. In all honesty, Dominique really did want to do something to make her parents proud, or at least something that made her succeed in life. Just the fact that she wasn't all to necessarily smart in the terms of school somewhat scared her. She wasn't unintelligent book-wise; no, she understood her subjects quite well, with the right amount of studying. She just somewhat felt that there should be more to her, considering her bloodline and all.
"As for me," Dominique began, "I'm not all that sure what career I'll be going into.. I really like charms and, like Rose, healing in terms of magic, but other than that I'm really interested in fashion.." Pausing for a moment, she then continued, "I guess we'll have to see what lies down the road for me, no?" Looking toward James this time, she emitted, "It would be pretty awesome to be an auror though, no? I think you'd probably make a really great one! Even if the professors here probably doubt your skill level in the area.." Dominique giggled a bit. It wasn't that she was being rude, mean, or making fun of him. It was just practically common knowledge that all the professors thought James acted too distracted or crazy for their liking. It's true though, as James really did like to have his fun.

“Because when it concerns you…some things are both jokes and non-jokes at the same time. I rather error on the side of caution rather then be reckless.” Rose muttered as she looked out at the black lake, the light breeze causing ripples in the waters surface. She scowled when he ruffled her hair and attempted to bat his hand away, but missed. She laughed at his comment about the pureblood stuff, but noted how true he was. Of course…she was probably the farthest out there of them all. Her Uncle Harry was a lot like her, a muggleborn mother and a pureblood dad. The rest of her family was 3/4ths or so but Rose and Hugo were different…and she liked it truthfully.
It was another thing she could separate from her family in…of course it wasn’t a big deal but anything to prove to people they weren’t all alike, they all had different personalities and different goals. She wanted to be a healer, James would probably end up as a Professor and she could easily see Dom take the fashion world by storm. Three different people, from three different sets of parents and the only thing they had the same was the fact they shared the same relatives. They didn’t even look the same…Dom with her blonde hair, James with his black and Rose with her red….and yet everyone always assumed they would be like each other…for crying out loud they weren’t even in the same HOUSE! Rose gave a small sigh as she turned back to look at her cousins as they ways they were different stacked in her head. Of course, they were similar in many ways also…but it always seemed as if they all needed to prove the differences more then the similarities.
“James…just go for being a Professor. I know the students here would love it, you know exactly what would be needed to teach and that way later you can go into the Auror field if you want. I mean…I guess you could always reverse that…but either way.” She said with a shrug, “And Dom…I mean, you and fashion go together like chocolate cake and whip cream…you’ll not only enter the world, you’ll take over. I really don’t see why either of you are still worried about what you are going to do.” She said with a supportive smile to each of them.

James started laughing, getting defensive jokingly. He raised his hands as if in surrender "Whoa, what's with attacking the Gryffindor? Wasn't the ravalry between Gryffindors and Slytherins? Or have the tables turned that all of the houses decided to plot against the Gryffindors?" He asked smiling.
He shrugged then scratched his head, squinting his eyes then smarted smiling. "So what is it? Auror? Professor? You guys are really messing me up today." He said, smiling at them. He nodded as Dominique smpoke her own plans. "Yeah, there's an idea: create a line of wizarding clothing for men that doesn't resempble a dress eh? Do us all a favor." He said jokingly again, but then again, everything that came out of his mouth seemed like a joke. The next he directed at Rose "Rose, I don't think its a matter of what the kids would want to hear from me: i just don't think a lot of parents would be comfortable with a guy like me teaching their kids. Oi, the whole worlds against me mate!" He ruffled his own hair then tilted his head back looking up at the sky.
